A cult figure in the complex world of Graffiti and Hip Hop culture, DarkDaze is a self
taught and innovative photographer. First coming to attention of NLP during the 2004
Competition, and picked as a runner up with potential he went on to produce one of the
most talked about exhibitions of 2005, the notorious Writers One, portraits of Graffiti
Writers and their alter egos; one of a kind prints up to 2m in size that were painted on
by the artists portrayed; and still the most expensive sale NLP have achieved for a
single piece of work. DarkDaze has used the initial momentum to build up a diverse
portfolio and an enviable client list, including Graphotism, MTV, Undercover, Ophelia
Fancy and he has exhibited in London, Brighton and USA to critical acclaim. His intense
style is immediately recognisable and though not working on Graffiti as such anymore, he
continues to examine portraiture and other subcultures. DarkDaze was the September
exhibitor and received excellent press and continues to sell his work exclusively through
NLP. He is available for private commissions direct through the Gallery.
